Stop Calling it Social Media

Tired of endless conversations with smart business owners about the irrelevance of social media, I’ve decided to stop calling it social media.

For now, I’m experimenting with ‘web visibility’.

As in “how much value do you think your business will have if it doesn’t have any web visibility?”.

Or, to leap to the negative “how much will your business be worth if it’s invisible on the web?”.

No one struggles with those answers. To be valuable, even the smartest business owners recognize their business must be visible on the web.

Welcome to social media.
