The Boardroom Metrics Executive Branding Program was launched in 2008.  The Program helped professional business people stand out for their expertise and experience. It also provided a website presence and social media marketing platform for those making the career transition to executive freelancing roles like coaching, consulting and interim management.  The program lasted five years. Almost two hundred executives participated in our executive branding program. Many also took advantage of our web and social media marketing services. In 2015 the program was discontinued to focus on other, higher revenue parts of the business. HOWEVER…

DEMAND FOR EXECUTIVE BRANDING NEVER STOPPED, EVEN THOUGH WE MOSTLY REMOVED IT FROM OUR WEBSITE. NOW, POST-COVID INTEREST IS EVEN GREATER. WE HAVE DECIDED TO APPROACH THE OPPORTUNITY IN A DIFFERENT WAY.

From 2010 to 2015 we used a standard branding questionnaire for on-boarding executives to our program. The questions and the process proved very valuable to the executives who participated. It took several hours of thought and discussion and formed the basis of many executive brands that emerged on LinkedIn and in consulting, coaching and other post-corporate endeavours. The cost for participants was several thousand dollars.

Now, we have decided to sell an updated but very similar version of the questionnaire we used from 2010 to 2015. The cost is $9.99. It is a very effective tool for those making the transition from corporate to their own new ventures in consulting and coaching. It is not only an effective branding tool, it also incorporates years of experience starting and running a successful consulting business. If there is any demand, we are happy to also provide live coaching for those interested Sometimes it’s good to have someone to talk to. Cost is $150/hour, maximum two hours. We will be posting the updated questionnaire shortly and selling it as a template.

The Executive Branding Personal Website Program is for executives who are seeking:

  • a permanent on-line home for their profile and expertise

  • a unique destination where others can discover, verify, and gain insight on their brand
  • to ensure they can be found on-line for their skills and expertise

Our Approach to Executive Website Development and Nurturing

  • Purchase your personal web address (url)
  • Activate a personal website account with WordPress
  • Design the website layout
  • Write or assist with writing the website content
  • Write or assist with writing a minimum of ten blogs

Upon completion of this program, executive clients will have their own personal website. Typically, the website address will be associated with their name or other strategy for reflecting their personal brand. The website content will highlight background, skills and expertise. The blog section of the website will be used to provide personal content and perspectives that provide additional insight into their executive brand. Fresh content is also important for ensuring maximum search visibility.

Boardroom Metrics can handle all of the tasks required to develop and launch the executive website. For executives seeking greater hands-on involvement, we can also plan, share and work collaboratively to complete and launch the website.

    There are two reasons for starting with LinkedIn.
    First, most executives have some experience with LinkedIn. Of all the platforms, it’s one of the most comfortable places to start. Second, your profile on LinkedIn is extremely visible. If you only marketed yourself on one platform, LinkedIn would be the one.We help you take advantage of all of LinkedIn’s personal branding features so that your profile is professional, complete, easy to find and ensures that you stand out. The majority of LinkedIn profiles do not take advantage of the branding features available.
  • Learn to blog
    Social media branding depends on developing content that highlights your unique expertise and point of view. It is a critical element of getting noticed and standing out on-line.Although there are many forms of on-line content, we start with blogging because it is the best way to develop a unique perspective. For some, blogging is a real challenge. However, that’s why it is so effective. Learning how to blog means learning how to think and get comfortable on-line. We will provide the tools and the coaching to make your initial blogging experience as painless as possible. Working together, we will help you produce and post content that is interesting, helpful, and attractive to a large audience. For those that enjoy it and are good at it, we can provide an on-going platform for you to continue blogging once the program is complete.
  • Learn to podcast
    Podcasting is like radio. It provides a way to talk about your unique knowledge and expertise in interesting and fun ways. It has become very popular – and is a skill that will set you apart from most other executives.We will teach you how to plan and prepare for a podcast. Then, you will be invited to participate on podcasts that are recorded, edited and posted on iTunes.   • Learn Twitter
    Once you have content, Twitter is one of the key tools for letting people know about it.  Learning to use Twitter will help you build an audience for your content and your brand.First, you will learn how to listen on Twitter. Listening is a key tool for understanding the latest developments in your industry. Then, you will learn how to broadcast tweets, build lists and grow an audience. We will help you get your first 1,000 followers so that you understand what’s required and give you an audience to build on.
