Tips for Using the Fillable Board Evaluation Template
- Include the CEO in the Board Evaluation process. In fact, it is helpful to include anyone who works closely enough with the Board to have an informed perspective. Do not include people who do not.
- Ensure responses are confidential. Some participants will not respond fully or honestly if they fear that there responses are not confidential.
- Keep the time period reasonable for participants to complete and return the Fillable Board Evaluation Template. A couple of days is too little time. A couple of weeks is seldom necessary.
